About DJ Stretch
DJ Stretch is an NYC based open format DJ with a style shaped by a lifetime of music. Growing up, weekends in his home meant Caribbean sound system sessions shaking the walls, and it was on his father's turntable that he learned to DJ. He still remembers spinning his first record at twelve the moment that sparked everything.
His passion really took off the day he heard DJ Roy mix the Showtime Riddim on iRie Jam Radio. That mix hit him so hard he became obsessed with learning how to do it himself. He practiced nonstop until he nailed it, and that drive to improve has stayed with him ever since.
Stretch's influences run deep: DJ Ace, the crowd motivator from Brooklyn; DJ KMT from Harlem; DJ Roy and Road International; DJ Red Alert; Funkmaster Flex; DJ Showbiz; DJ Jazzy Joyce; and many others who shaped the culture. Their energy, creativity, and crowd control helped him develop a style built on clean transitions, reading the room, and blending genres without boundaries.
His Caribbean sound system roots still guide his approach today, giving his sets a natural rhythm, warmth, and authenticity that connect with any audience.
